Below is a picture of my own plane, a 1978 Piper
Archer II. This one has some more power and is a
little better equipped in the avionics department.
My former plane was a 1977 Piper Warrior II.
When I'm not out flying for real, I enjoy using the
Microsoft Flight Simulator and X-Plane. I've tried
many times in the past to create replicas of my
aircraft in those various sim programs, but
usually, before I can get it right, they come out
with a new version and I start all over again.
Finally with FS2004, I just gave up and purchased
the Archer II from Flight One Software,
(website).
I have to say that I'm really impressed with the plane
both from a visual and a performance point of view. This
plane really flies about as close to the real thing that
I've seen in any version of MSFS. Someone really
put a lot of time and care into this flight model.
I would recommend their software to anyone looking
for realistic versions of real world airplanes.
